A Day of Exploration

This morning the twins took advantage of getting to know their new surroundings. They were extremely excited to explore the backyard. They can't wait until spring when they will get a new swing set.

Happy Halloween!

With all of the previous practice, the twins were ready to go trick or treating in their new neighborhood. Morgan and Jake were there along with a new member of the crew...Phillip (he's the chili pepper on the right)!

We started the night off with a bang at our next door neighbor's house....they definitely go all out!

They started off slowly, but Ethan really got the hang of it and was having a blast. Elaine went up to a few houses, but just liked walking around the most.
By the end of the night, the twins were definitely excited to be home!

Tonight the twins came home! This is the first time they've seen the house. It was a little late, so the reaction wasn't the craziest!

They did, however, find the toy chest very quickly and immediately made themselves at home!

Halloween 2009

Jenny and I have been really busy moving to our new house and have not had much time to post on the blog. Thanks to Jenny's sister for these pics. She took the twins to Boo at the Zoo in Columbus this past weekend.

Last Bath in P.Ridge

Tonight was the twins' last night in the Pleasant Ridge house. Tomorrow night the kids will go to Urbana for a week while Patrick and I close on the houses, pack, and move.

I am not sure if the twins will really notice the move, but we are definitely going to miss the old house. We started our lives there but look forward to a lot of great memories in the new house!

Shopping and Hibachi

Today we hit the road and went to the new outlet mall. The best part was watching the kids play on the playground.

Afterwards, we met up with my family in Dayton to celebrate Aunt Jamie and Joey's birthdays. The kids had a blast at the Japanese Steakhouse.

Skip the Entree and Bring On the Condiments

We had tacos tonight and the real winner was sour cream. Just like me, Elaine could not get enough of it. She was trying to eat it by the spoonful! She would also make sure she licked any reamining portion off her fingers....What a loon!

Ethan wasn't such a big fan of the sour cream, but he loves to give a shout out to his fans!

Elaine's new hair style

PJ WEEK!

We are finally over a week long battle of Ear Infections and Croup. Jenny and I took turns taking days off home with the kids. The kids loved being in their PJ's. Ethan was fine after a day of antibiotics, but Elaine had a tough time with the Croup. She just wanted to sit on the couch and be held.

Fall Festival

We went to a fall festival with some friends of ours who have boy/girl twins also, Grace and Oliver. They are still so little, 10 weeks, so they stayed tucked away asleep in their Bjorn's. The kids had a lot of fun playing around.

We first checked out the ball pit. Then we found a sandbox full of corn. At first they didn't know what to do, but then they LOVED it! It was hard to pull them away. We ended the day with the bouncy house. Ethan immediately went for the slide and got the hang of the bouncing. Elaine wasn't too sure about it and just watched other kids for a while. She eventually made it to and up the slide. It was definitely a great day.

Sickness Takes Over

Sunday night we were awaken by that dreadful cough known as Croup! It was Elaine. We ran her through some steam and she seemed okay. We kept her home on Monday and took her to the doctor who confirmed the diagnosis. By the time evening rolled around she seemed fine. So the next morning Patrick took the twins to the sitter's and headed to work. She was fine all morning and even when Bev put her in her seat for lunch. By the time the kids finished lunch and Bev picked her up to take her out of her seat, she had a 103 temperature! Patrick picked her up and she stayed home the rest of the week. Poor Elaine was so miserable. By Friday afternoon the fever was completely gone and she was perking up. Since she hadn't eaten A THING for four days, I spoiled her and let her eat seriously fatty foods all week long.

Ethan's Dancing Skills

The kids love a Disney Sing-Along movie that the babysitter shows for the kids as a treat. Jenny was able to track down a copy for us at home. As you can see, Ethan gets excited for the previews.
