A visit to Daddy's office

Today the kids spent some time with me at my office. Jenny went to Columbus to say goodbye to a friend that was moving away. Jenny dropped them off at my office, good thing we were stocked up on Ice Cream bars and Nick Jr streams Dora and Diego online from their website.

Brownies are good

After the kids ate a good dinner we gave them brownies and they were soo happy.

Elaine even did a little face painting with the chocolate sauce!

CORN!

Last night we thought it would be fun to let the kids try corn on the cob. Elaine loved it, Ethan was so-so. Elaine started off eating the end but after a little coaching, she got it right.

March of Dimes

Today the twins and I joined Aunt Melissa, Phillip, and a whole group of other past sorority sisters and college friends to participate in the March of Dimes Walk. We had a great time and walked in honor of The Barford Family who has two amazing girls who were born just a few weeks before the twins as micro-preemies and in memory of the girls' triplet brother and other babies like their cousin Harrison. This is our second year participating. We were a little worried about the weather, but the rain held off for the walk so we were really happy! After the walk, they had fun activities, food, and bands playing. Ethan wasn't feeling well, so we headed out shortly after the walk. Next year I'm sure they'll hit the bouncy house with Phillip....maybe he'll even get to eat some of that popcorn he's drooling over!

A Sleepover

Tonight the twins got a sleepover with their cousin Phillip.

He's starting to interest the twins much more. He plays with them more and pretty soon will give Ethan a run for his money with control of the toys! :) The twins had fun playing with him and Elaine especially liked to rub his head lightly while he took his night bottle. She also gave him lots of kisses during the event. It was very cute. Ethan was happier to share his puzzles but only if Phillip looked.....no touch! Ethan would bring him other toys to play with so I guess he's a little generous....hahaha!

It seems like before I know it I'll wake up in the morning and the three of them will be sitting at the table eating cereal that they poured themselves! They are getting too big!

Blow!Blow!

The twins have discoverd dandolions and the wonder of blowing their seeds everwhere....Patrick is thrilled!

How Is That Comfortable?!

Tonight we headed up to Urbana to check out Joey in his high school musical. On the way up the twins collapsed. Patrick and I had to snap some shots because they were so dead tired, but they looked so uncomfortable! They slept well so obviously they were fine, but even Charlie is looking from the back thinking "that can't be comfortable!"

Dinner With Style

We made a pit stop before the musical to have dinner with supper club. The twins had a blast entertaining themselves with their sunglasses and anyone else's that they could get their hands on!

Babies for the Babies

Tonight Lizzy came over to watch the babies while Patrick took me out to dinner. She brought the babies presents....Disney babies! They kids loved them and snuggled in at bed that night with all of them!

Come and go as we please!

The kids have figured out the dog door that the past owners had installed in the screen. They think it is hilarious to crawl in and out!

Yummy!

Just like his Daddy, the only thing Ethan likes better than ribs is LEFTOVER ribs. He insists on eating off the bone. It's really funny that he does a better job cleaning his bones than I do!

A Day in Our Shoes

The twins have had a new interest in our shoes.

Easter

This morning we got up and headed to church for Easter service. Afterwards we came back and the twins got their Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny left for them....of course Elaine immediately finds the chocolate!

While Ethan admires the eggs he colored last night.

Let the Grilling Season Begin

Patrick spent all day smoking ribs for dinner. We invited Uncle Timmy, Aunt Melissa, and Phillip over to celebrate Easter and relax with us. The twins had fun playing with Phillip. After a filling meal of ribs and potatoes, the twins opted not to put their shirts back on! They were way too concerned with their cousin Phillip's happiness and decided to bring him every toy they had in the tv room.

Before bedtime Uncle Timmy helped the twins run off the last of their energy.

Easter Eggs

After dinner and baths, the kids got to color their Easter eggs.

The first two turned out beautiful. By the time we were done the kids were attached to their eggs and didn't want to give them up!

I finally got them to let them go when I brought out the Easter baskets.

A Trip to the Zoo

To celebrate my spring break, the kids and I decided to head out to the zoo. It was a crazy hot day (over 80) but we went early and beat most of the heat.

This trip was really fun because they understood the different animals. We also upgraded our membership to include train rides. The kids had a blast riding around the zoo.

After seeing each animal, the twins had to make sure to say "bye,bye" or they wouldn't leave!

Water Babies

After the zoo the twins got to try out their sand and water table outside! By the time they were done they were soaked. Patrick asked Ethan how he got so wet and Ethan looked down at his shirt, back up to Patrick and plainly responded "WATER!"... I couldn't stop laughing.
