Camping

This weekend we went camping with my family.
Everyone came including my brother Michael, so it was a lot of fun! My parents just bought a new camper so Ethan had fun trying to explore and open all of the compartments.

The twins had a blast throwing rocks into the creek. Elaine was a little annoyed that her hands got dirty though....she would pick up one rock, throw it and then ask to have her hands cleaned.

We were finally able to pull them away from the creek when they discovered there were rocks at the campsites and they could collect them there.

Play Date

Today the twins and I had a play date with Miss Jen and her twins Grace and Oliver. They will be one in a week so they are moving around a lot. the twins were excited to play in a new place.

We took a short trip to the park and then headed back to their house for a snack. Before we knew it, it was time to go. It looks like Grace and Oliver will be walking around soon so future play dates are going to be so much fun.....and very chaotic!

Columbus Zoo

Today the twins and I drove up to Columbus to
meet Miss Sonya and her two daughters Khera and Ellie at the Columbus Zoo. We had a blast. We did all sorts of things like ride the train.

We also took a twirl on the carousel which is always a favorite with the twins! Of course now they are not wanting me to hold on to them which totally freaks me out.....those things go faster than you think!
Most of the time we just enjoyed walking around to see all of the animals. The twins even took some time out of the stroller to walk each other around. People kept coming up to us asking about them and saying how cute they were holding hands. My friend Sonya made the comment they were getting more attention than the dang animals! It was pretty funny.

Tales From Italy

Tonight our friend Laura came over to hang out and tell us all about her trip to Italy. The twins were excited to see her and even more excited when she helped them build a castle. I couldn't believe they had so much energy after a day at the zoo and no nap!

Beating the Heat at the Museum

Today the twins had a chance to show their cousin Phillip the Children's Museum. We had a playdate and it was too hot to play outside for an extended time. They had a blast running around and playing with everything.

After a while the twins were ready to move out of the toddler area and wanted to hit the water room. (their favorite part) Phillip had fun and in a few months will be a regular with the twins. After a few hours all three kids were tired and hungry. Hopefully we'll see Phillip there this winter, it is a great place to run off some energy when it is too cold outside!

Today we headed out to the pool to hang out with Phillip, Uncle Timmy, and Aunt Melissa. The twins had a blast running around the baby pool and getting squirted by their Uncle Timmy.

Elaine snuck up on her Uncle Timmy with a bucket of water.

Brush, Brush, Brush!

Today the twins had their first visit to the dentist. they had a blast in the waiting room playing with all of the arcade games. Once the examination began though, things changed.

Ethan did very well, he cried but did everything he was supposed to do. Elaine, however, flipped out completely! Michael came with me and had to take her outside after her cleaning and check up with the doctor.

The dentist said their teeth looked great! Enamel was perfect and we have been doing an awesome job brushing. He told me not to worry about Elaine's behavior and that she was actually advanced for her age....it was behavior typical of a three year old. He said to expect Ethan to act the same way the next time they come in, so excited! (6 months and counting!)

Hiding in the store

This morning we went to Babies R Us to get some gifts for a friend that is going to have a baby. Ethan and Elaine figured out that they could hide in the clothes racks.

Fun in the pool

We put a little pool in the backyard and the kids always want to play in it. Ethan likes to dump a bucket of water on his head.

4th of July

On the fourth everyone packed up and headed to Hudson to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa. They had a pool and squirt guns waiting for the kids. Then Grandma set up the sprinkler. After all that running around she gave them a much needed snack...ICE CREAM CONES! It was the twins' first actual cone. They did really well. Ethan didn't understand eating the cone but Elaine finished the whole thing! After they had the chance to run off some energy they got back into their clothes and played ball in the driveway. All three kids got the chance to hold sprinklers. We shot off a lot of fireworks later but the twins didn't make it that late...next year!

A Day in Cleveland

Today we headed to the Kiddie Park. It is kid only amusment park that has all of those kid rides. They had a blast! The twins even rode on a rollercoaster, Patrick and I had to ride with them so Cate took pictures. After the park we headed to lunch and then back to Cate and Don's house. We tried to get the kids to take a nap but they just talked. Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner. By the end of the day the kids were exhausted! It was a great day.

Seperate Bedrooms!!

We finally got the kids bedrooms done so they can now have their own rooms. Luckly, it has worked out very well since they have been sleeping in seperate rooms. Here are a couple pictures of the kids new bedrooms.
