A Taste of "Taste of Blue Ash"

Today Mark, Morgan and Jake came down for the night. Taste of Blue Ash was going on so we headed down to check it out. The twins were content hanging out in the strollers with their lollipops.

Very quickly Ethan started feeling warm and was not feeling well. Patrick held him and he quickly feel asleep on his shoulder. We decided to cut our night short and let the kids ride a few rides really quickly.

Elaine wanted to ride EVERY ride that went in circles...poor Morgan! By the last ride she looked pretty pale and wobbly. Jake had a blast in the teen zone and especially enjoyed the "human fly trap"

A New Sleeping Toy

One night we heard some rustling upstairs, but then it stopped. A little later we went upstairs to check on the kids before we went to bed and this is what we found. Ethan dragged this contraption to bed with him and has slept with it ever since.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

The twins had a blast building a castle while they
patiently waited for Patrick's birthday cake....a MONKEY from his two monkeys! Everyone loved the cake, the twins named it Boots...go figure!

This year they were able to help Patrick blow the candles out! Hopefully they'll remember how to do it for their birthday!

TV!!!!!!

A trip to Sam's Club turned into heaven for the twins. Thank goodness they don't understand Santa yet or we'd be in big trouble!

A Quick Visit with a Ton of Fun!

This evening Grandma and Grandpa stopped for the night on their way home from St. Louis. It was a quick visit, but Grandpa changed a diaper and Grandma got to read a story!

Time Travel

Today we attended the twins' friends', Grace & Oliver, first birthday party! It was a beach theme and they had pools, water tables, and ball pits set up for everyone to play in. The twins had a blast. It was fun to see Oliver and Grace and think back to when Ethan and Elaine turned one. Amazing how it changes so quickly!

For dessert they had cake, cupcakes, and cookies. Elaine devoured a cupcake and even Ethan threw down a piece of cake! (He does not have a big sweet tooth) They also got the rare treat of suckers and were showing them off to EVERYONE because they were so proud. By the end of the party we were all beat and headed home for a much needed bath and rest!

Today we

Traveling Lighter

With the twins sleeping without the crib fronts, we decided it was time to say goodbye to the pack n plays! We got the twins the most amazing toddler blow up mattresses! They have raised sides so they can't roll off, they come with a soft cover, blow up in 60 seconds, and can all fit in a small bag! Looking forward to trying them out in Cleveland next weekend!

Faster Than A Speeding Bullet

Tonight the twins got to try out the new bike trailer with Patrick. It is supposed to be an early birthday gift for him but I think the twins enjoyed it the most.

The twins were excited to wear their new helmets. Once they got used to the trailer Elaine wouldn't stop yelling at Patrick to go FASTER!

Devious Me

After being fed up with Ethan's refusal to eat veggies, I pulled out the cookbook my mom gave me that has tons of recipies that hide veggies in food. Ethan loved his grilled cheese sandwich....too bad he didn't know that pureed sweet potato was also in there!

One More Step

Tonight the twins had their first night without the fronts of their cribs. Surprisingly, everything went well. Minimal crying and no visitors sneaking into our room in the middle of the night! Potty training is our last hurdle before I've officially lost my babies! (a little sad about this)
