Grandma and Grandpa Barker stopped by for the night on their way home from St. Louis. The twins had a blast especially since they brought some Easter presents! They each got a camping chair, water bottle and an individual gift. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

A Good Nights Sleep and More Play
Everyone did great last night and they even slept in until 7:30am! This morning the twins had fun watching their cartoons and playing with Phillip some more. Thier Nonie is coming today to help out....so much excitment in one day!
A Visit To See Daddy
Nonie came down today to help with the kids while Patrick was in the hospital. While we were out running errands the twins got to visit Patrick while he was in the hospital. They were really well behaved....I think the bribe of plastic cups and cookies helped! They really miss their Daddy and can't wait until he comes home.
Ride Em Cowboy
At the grocery store the kids got to ride the horse "Sandy". They thought it was a blast! Ethan even managed to go 'no handed'...what a pro! Maybe they can spend a week at White Pines Dude Ranch like Aunt Jamie, Uncle Christopher, and I did as kids.....Good times!

A Sleepover
Tonight the twin's cousin Phillip came to spend the night! Patrick went into the hospital today so it was nice to keep them occupied. The twins were thrilled to show him their toys. It was kind of funny because they started pulling out some crazy old toys they haven't touched in forever!

A Cool Drink Like a Man
Tonight the twins finally had their two year old pictures taken! They weren't the most cooperative so I'm anxious to see the results! Afterwards, we stopped at Skyline for a quick dinner. Ethan showed off his new drinking out of the glass skills from beginning to end! :)

An Early Start to A Busy Day
This morning everyone got up really early since we were an hour behind...what fun! We decided to head down to the pool and let the kids work some energy off. The kids had a blast and can't wait for summer to come! We had a busy day ahead of us, so we had to head back to the room before we knew it to grab some breakfast and get ready for the shower.
Introductions to the Family
What a whirlwind! When we got to Joslyn's shower we were immediately running around hugging and saying hi to family. The twins were a little bit overwhelmed. Luckily Polly (Joslyn's mom) brought the twins some crayons and coloring books. This helped calm them down.
It wasn't long before they spotted the cookies and ran for them! Elaine was especially paranoid that someone would grab her cookie!

It snowed all day, so they were both thrilled with looking out the windows and talking about the snow. The adults were not quite as thrilled about the snow....at least we weren't having to drive in it though!
Family Fun Continues
After the shower we headed over to my cousins Polly and Jim's house. Lots of friends and family joined us....it was great catching up. I always love meeting over there because it reminds me of all the Christmas Eve parties they would have when I was a kid.
Morgan and cousin Isabel (Julie's daughter) had fun playing, while the twins (Ethan and Elaine) played mostly by themselves. They were a little unsure of all the new people and still were groggy from their nap. PS. I put Ethan and Elaine in paratheses because they were the third set of twins there. Joslyn and Julie are my age and my third cousins, Peggy and Polly (J&J's mom) are my mom's age (well, a few years younger) and my second cousins.
A New Treat
Elaine didn't eat anything at Jim and Polly's partly because of a monsterous poop and all of the new people. I hate to see her not eat, so we stopped to grab her some chicken. Of course Morgan and Jake had to get something too...who blames them?! Elaine was thrilled though because she got to eat some of their fries and cheese sauce! She has a love for the cheese sauce just like me...poor thing, it is a daily battle not to buy a GIANT can of it from Sam's Club!
Ethan understands the danger and runs the other way!

After a Hard Day's Play
This is the typical ride home from the twin's sitter, Bev, house. Ethan is pooped and Elaine takes a few minutes to look through a book and will sometimes sing or practice her counting. Now that it is warmer, I can leave the door from the kitchen to the garage open and the car windows open so Ethan can get a small nap in before dinner.

Hello Spring!
Today we able to get home and go for our first walk of 2010! The twins were really excited to try out their new wagon. We just went up and down the street, but they had a blast!
A Celebration
Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Elaine getting her cast off. The twins had a blast watching the show, eating pizza and playing on all of the rides and games.

George's 3rd Birthday
This weekend we headed up to Cleveland for George's birthday. We drove up on Friday after work. We just relaxed that night and enjoyed visiting with family. On Saturday the kids played all morning. For lunch we headed to the Winking Lizard. After lunch and the twins' nap it was time for George's birthday party! We had delicious pizza for dinner and cake for dessert. The twins had a blast watching George open his presents and even got to play with some of them! By Sunday morning the twins were beat and ready for a relaxing ride home. Happy Birthday George!
