Our First Trip to Crabill's

Today the twins went on their first trip to Crabill's Hamburgers in Urbana. Of course they saw the chips and forgot about the hamburgers! There is always a next time I guess!

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny hid the kids baskets and they had to find them.

After church and brunch, they spent the rest of the day counting their candies.

Uncle Michael comes over for Dinner!!

Tonight Uncle Michael come over for dinner and to color Easter Eggs with the kids. They had a blast coloring the eggs and putting Toy Story stickers on them.

Easter Egg hunt on Fountian Square

There was a break in the rain, a very little one, but we were able to make it dowtown to Fountian Square for the Easter Egg Hunt. It was a MADHOUSE of kids and parents running over the square to find 2000 eggs. The kids had fun since it was their real first time going downtown to see the "buildings" as Ethan calls it.

After our egg hunt, it was broken down into age groups, we decided to stay and watch the other age groups. You would not believe the people that would fight over a egg with a couple jelly beans in it. Someone actually called the police.... Glad we stayed to watch that.

Easter

Easter started off with a co-worker of Jenny's giving the kids some Easter Cupcakes that looked like bunnies. Of course, they loved them!

Stay out of the Backyard!

The kids cousin Morgan was nice enough to lend them her old Power Wheels car. At first, they would either go in circles or just run into things. They are getting better by the day! Just wish this rain would stop so they can get out and play with it agian.

A Week at Disney

This weekend we headed to Disney World with the twins' Aunt Cate, Uncle Don, George and Henry. We had a blast. The kids had such a good time hanging out with each other and getting to share some Disney magic!

Something New!

It was alot of fun to watch Ethan and George try Pixi sticks. Little did they know, I picked out the sour flavors!

DISNEYWORLD!!!

Jenny has been waiting for this day all her life, taking her kids to Disneyworld. Here are a couple pictures and we will follow up with more later.

Tonight was the twins' last swimming lesson. They missed last week because of Elaine's pneumonia so they were rearing to go! Ethan even wore googles for a part of the lesson. They were being such good listeners and participants. Both did such a good job swimming. Their instructor Miss Jess was very impressed by Elaine still moving her arms and legs even while being underwater. She said that was advanced for someone her age. They will definitely get some more practice down in Florida next week!

Grandma and Grandpa came in for the night on their way home from St. Louis. We met up with Timmy, Melissa, and Phillip for dinner. The twins had a blast showing them all of their toys.

When it was time for bed they showed off their technology skills by showing Grandma and Grandpa how they read books on Mommy's ereader. Everyone was quite impressed with them.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

What a nice St. Patrick's Day! It was BEAUTIFUL and warm day. The kids had a blast playing outside. I spent the time spring cleaning the backyard with a little help from Ethan. He thought it was so much fun picking up sticks and putting them in the yard waste bags!

After some hard labor we all enjoyed a delicious dinner and even had time to play around in the backyard before bed. Now we can't wait for warmer weather and green grass/trees!

All Wet and LOVING It

Tonight the twins had their 3rd swim lesson and Ethan finally made it into the pool! Yeah! It took a bit of time and then a few tears but as you can see he was fine at the end. In fact he gave their swim instructor, Jess, a hug AND a high five at the end! He was SO proud of himself. We had to call Daddy in Boston the minute we got into the car.

A Rainy Day Off

Today wasn't freezing cold but it was definitely raining....our backyard is a pond! To break up the day we headed to Totter's Otterville. This is a private playground similar to a Children's Museum. They have a ball pit and indoor playground, a train room, animal hospital, dance studio, building block area, face painting station, water table, and much more. The kids had a blast. We can't wait to come back when it is warmer because they have a working outdoor train.

If the Shoe Fits

I don't know what got into their heads but the twins decided it would be fun to share shoes. They each put one of patrick's and one of Ethan's shoe on. They thought it was the greatest idea ever!

Barker Fun Day

Today we decided to have a fun day out. We started at the zoo. It was our first zoo visit of the year. The twins had a blast feeding the goats. I was a little jeebed out by the goat's eyes....they are weird and look a little alien like!

Both the twins and Patrick had a blast in the Insect House.

After the zoo we headed to the classic Clifton Skyline for lunch.

After lunch we decided to cruise downtown to the Findley Market. We got some great veggies and were beyond excited when we saw they sell Ohio City Pasta. (the guy even told us that it is cheaper down here than in Cleveland's West Market....definitely have to check that out next time we go to Cleveland) We grabbed two different flavors and headed home to make dinner and an appetizer with the ravioli.

Swim Lessons

Tonight the twins had their first swim lesson....well, Elaine had a swim lesson and Ethan cried. Ethan started the night super excited while Elaine looked very unhappy about the event.

Once their lesson started, Elaine got in the water (slowly) but Ethan would have NOTHING to do with it! I guess we'll just try again next week!

3 Years Old!

Today was the twins' 3rd birthday and birthday party. What a blast and definitely different from last year. The twins understood it was their birthday and were VERY excited. After the streamers and balloons were put up Ethan ran around screaming "It's Party Time"! Both sides of the family were able to make it and the weather was GREAT this year. Nobody got hurt minus a few head bangs. The twins got so many great presents, thank you to everyone for such great and thoughtful presents.

Dewey's For All

Tonight we met up with all the Barker's to have some dinner. Elaine had fun helping Grandma with her belated birthday gift since we couldn't make it up to Cleveland a few weeks ago.

All the kids have so much fun watching the pizza guys make the pizzas in the window. They even had some flour thrown at them which really made them laugh.
