Jacksonville

We were lucky enough that my friend's Angie and Chris allowed us to stay with them in Jacksonville for two nights.  What fun catching up and letting the kids hangout with each other.  We went to the beach and had a wonderful time.  The warm temperatures were much needed and the water temperature wasn't bad at all.

 

 Elaine has learned to write her name at school this year and likes to show it off whenever she can!

Tanner and Ethan became fast friends!

 

 After a day at the beach we hungout at the house and took a quick trip to the park to run off some energy.  Hard to believe they still had energy but they ran around like crazy!

A Tour of Florida

For Spring Break the twins and I drove down to Florida with their Nonie and cousins Morgan and Jake. 

 

 

It was a long drive down with crazy traffic but we finally made it to Aunt Chris and Uncle Roger's house.  The twins and I only stayed for one night and then we were back on the road to visit with friends!

 

Happy Birthday George!

This weekend we headed up to Hudson for George's 5th Birthday.  As always the kids had fun playing with each other.  The next day was George's actual birthday party where the kids ran and played at a kids gymnasium.  We had a wonderful time, Happy Birthday George

The next day we headed over to The Little Gym for George's birthday party.  The kids warm up in the dance room while they waited for the party to begin.

Super Bowl 2012

The twins attended their first Super Bowl party.  They had a blast trying out all of the snacks and dancing to the music.

First Sledding Adventure!

I took the kids sledding for the first time today and they loved it. They want to go back again later!

No crying this year!! The kids were great and told Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Swim Lessons

The twins started swim lessons and love them.  Hopefully we'll have some fish on our hands before long!

 

Battle of Ohio

Browns versus Bengals, too bad it was not a sell out in Cincinnati but we found an alternate solution to watch the game. Our friends came over to watch the game and the kids wanted to be a part of the festivities.

Putting up the Xmas Tree!

The kids have become really good helpers recently. Today they helped mommy put up the Christmas Tree and hang the ornaments.

Here are the kids posing in front of their new ornaments that Grandma just gave them. Pirates, just like they were for Halloween.

Finally, Mommy made them a special drink to help, Rainbow Sherbet and Sprite, just like mommy did when she was little.

GO UC!

Family Fun Day started with finishing up the leaves in the yard. The kids had fun with the last pile.

Then we watched the UC Football game. We taught the kids how to root for UC!

Finally we ended up the day with going to Tom & Chee. This is a grilled cheese & tomato soup restaurant down in Kentucky. The kids loved being able to see Cincinnati. Ethan was more concerned about his chips then looking at the city. He made everyone stop on these steps while walking around Newport on the Levee for a chip break. He picked out chips for everyone....

Poppy's Birthday

We went up to Urbana for Poppy's Birthday. We made a huge feast, "Food of the Gods" according to Harry. Elaine and poppy shared crab legs all night long.

The kids help Poppy open his birthday presents. They are starting to realize that not every present is for them. 

We got he kids all cleaned up and in PJ's before having one last treat. The kids help Poppy blow out his birthday cake.
