Our First Camping Experience

Since Patrick had to go to a conferece in Nashville for a week, the twins and I went up to Dayton on Sunday afternoon to hang out with their Aunt Jamie, Uncle Mark, Jake and Morgan while they were camping. We spent the day at the campgrounds and then spent the night at my parents' house. Jamie met me the next day to take the twins for TWO nights! What a saint. I already miss them, but it's such a help since I'm on my own.

Taste of Cincinnati

The Taste of Cincinnati is a yearly festival downtown featuring local restaurants, breweries, and wineries. It's fun to walk around and try small portions of food from restaurants that we normally don't get a chance to go and experience. This year we sampled Asian, French, BBQ, and Italian. The twins have to wait another year to join in the food fun. Ethan found his own enjoyment though....the Carnival lights!


As we were leaving, Ethan started fussing. So I took him out of the stroller to hold him as we walked back to the car. The minute we walked close to the games and rides he was fine. Patrick snapped these shots from different angles of Ethan in awe. I sure hope he doesn't catch the "Carnie Life" bug!

An Early Introduction to Fricker's

If you ask Patrick where the best wings are, he'll happily answer "FRICKER'S!"! Tonight, we met the twin's Aunt Melissa and Uncle Timmy to join us.









Uncle Timmy took some time away from his wings to show Ethan a thing or two about how to shake it on the dance floor.

Playtime Has Begun

Today I was fixing dinner and suddenly I heard the sound of plastic clicking. I looked over and there was Ethan shaking the play keys around. He just picked them up himself and started shaking them!

Saturday Adventures

We had a fun-filled Saturday! We started by running some regular weekend errands....Target, Meijer, Sam's Club, etc. Then we shot down to Clifton and tried a local burrito joint. As you can see it met Patrick's approval.

From there we skipped over to the zoo for a few hours. By the time we got back to the car the twins were whipped!

Nonie's Coming!

The twin's sitter, Bev, took a day off. Nonie saved the day and came down to watch them. Elaine was so excited, she just couldn't hide it!

Morning Babies

Even at 7:00 am, the kids are happy. This morning Ethan was ALL smiles.

3 Months old, TODAY!!

Today the kids had their 3 month old birthday. Ethan kicked it off with a visit to the doctor for an ear infection. He was not feeling well and did not appreciate his picture being taken.


















Once we saw the doctor and were told how much Tylenol to give him, he began to calm down.






After a few mouthfuls of antibiotics, he slept most of the day away!



Elaine has had a wonderful time sleeping all day.

First Birthday Party

Today was Morgan's 10th birthday party. The theme was Hanna Montana and boy did it rock! Ethan and Elaine loved all of the attention!

Getting Better!!

The kids love to be involved with everything we do. They are getting a lot better at sitting in the bumbo seats while we are making dinner.

Good Sleeps!!

The kids like to cuddle when they sleep. I guess it reminds them of being in the womb.

This week Patrick and the twins stayed home while I went to play on my softball team. I left with everyone happy and alert. I came back to very sleepy twins and a very HAPPY Daddy! Looks like he lucked out on this day.

Playtime is Almost Here

Tummy time training is starting to pay off! Ethan is definitely getting the hang of it, Elaine has little more training to go. She is starting to enjoy the "flip side" of the playmat!

Aunt Chris Brings the Warm Weather

The weather has been absolutely beautiful this week. Is it a coincidence that my Aunt Chris (from Florida) also came this week? Nonie and Aunt Chris came down for the evening and spent some quality cuddling time with Ethan and Elaine.





Ethan felt so comfy being cuddled by them, he dozed off and was asleep when they left....what a surprise!

Two Month Checkup!!!!!

Today was the 2 month checkup. For those not familiar with this, it means they each got 4 shots and a flu vaccine that they drank! Needless to say, we forgot the camera and were NOT upset about it. We were mortified and felt so bad for them that all we wanted to do was comfort them. We would have never gotten the camera out anyway. Once we got home and fed them, they slept and slept. Except for waking them up for their 10:30 feedings, Elaine slept for about 10 hours and Ethan slept for about 9 hours! I quickly snapped a picture of Ethan during his slumber and took a video of Elaine since she was moving in the swing.
